Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift
Job Location: Arlington VA
Duration: 3 months of Contract with (Temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon - Fri 8A-4P Mon - Fri
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III – Float serves as the face of the company to patients, providing care both for routine health needs and life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring procedures are conducted skillfully, safely, and accurately. The Phlebotomist III – Float provides coverage at multiple locations and roles, including Patient Service Centers (PSC), mobile services, long-term care, in-office phlebotomy, and house calls. This role may also include leadership responsibilities, mentoring new employees, and acting as a point of contact for on-site staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and timely daily activities across multiple locations and service environments.

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately for pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Maintain patient trust, confidence, and confidentiality while explaining procedures.

Provide coverage in PSC, mobile, in-office, and long-term care settings, stepping in for Phlebotomist III as needed.

Coach, mentor, and onboard new employees and provide guidance to PSRs on-site.

Act as point of contact for staff and provide regular input to supervisors or group leads.

Handle high-complexity and/or high-volume practices requiring advanced phlebotomy and customer service skills.

Collaborate with multiple functions, including Sales, Lab Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.

Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
Education & Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training preferred (Medical Assistant or Paramedic).

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years phlebotomy experience (inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
