Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA
Duration : 3 Years
Shift: 1st shift position, 7 am to 3:30 pm with some overtime based on production schedules/volumes.
Pay Range - $25 to $44
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This role will require working with machine maintenance skilled trades and manufacturing engineers to develop Preventative Maintenance Plans and enter those plans into SAP for maintenance scheduling and workload leveling.
You will provide engineering design and project management for the facility infrastructure, grounds, production equipment, and processes.
The projects will be complex, requiring integration and coordination with various engineering disciplines.
Major Duties:
Design infrastructure for facilities, grounds, and production equipment internally and externally. Handle complex projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
Manage projects related to facility infrastructure, production machines, and equipment, ensuring successful integration across different engineering areas.
Troubleshoot facility infrastructure and production equipment to support various operations.
Respond to critical production downtime situations.
Maintain project budget cost control through the project cost control system.
Conduct life, safety, and building code analysis, implementing programs to prevent injuries and illnesses.
Identify and resolve environmental, safety, ergonomic, and health hazards.
Research and engage qualified suppliers for materials and services, preparing purchase orders for management approval.
Specific Skills Desired:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Engineering/Design Technology, or equivalent experience.
Machine design and troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency in writing maintenance procedures.
Working knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
Experience in businesses similar to Client is preferred.
