Duration: 3 +Months (Possibility of extension)
Local Pay Rate: $170/hr. on W2
Travel Pay Rate: $6,946.06/week (blended rate + stipend $1,938.86)
Shift Time: Day Shift | 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM | 40hr/5 Shift week | Every other weekend & holidays required
Job Description:
Under the direction of the attending physician, the Principal Perfusionist provides routine and specialized patient care services requiring extracorporeal circulation and/or oxygenation. This role delivers advanced perfusion techniques for myocardial and organ protection/preservation, blood component and drug/fluid administration, and blood conservation/concentration across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Job Description:
Under the direction of the attending physician, the Principal Perfusionist provides routine and specialized patient care services requiring extracorporeal circulation and/or oxygenation. This role delivers advanced perfusion techniques for myocardial and organ protection/preservation, blood component and drug/fluid administration, and blood conservation/concentration across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver independent perfusion care for routine, complex, and emergency extracorporeal procedures, including on-call response.
- Operate and manage extracorporeal circulation/oxygenation systems (e.g., ECMO, VAD, IABP) across all patient populations.
- Initiate and manage perfusion for cardiac, transplant, and organ preservation procedures; monitor hemodynamics, electrolytes, and fluid balance.
- Administer cardioplegia and provide intraoperative perfusion support to ensure patient safety and stability.
- Support clinical quality, protocol adherence, equipment readiness, and staff training.
Required Certifications & Licence:
- Minimum 4 year of experience as an Perfusionist.
- Certified Cardiac Perfusionist
- BLS (AHA)
