TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Dental hygiene tools, Eaglesoft and HMS computer software
JOB DESCRIPTION:
•* Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
•* Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
•* Assisting a high number of patients as required.
•* Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.
SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:
•*Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
•* Must have a current/active CPR certificate
•* Knowledge of dental terminology
•* Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
•* Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
•* Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
•* Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County
•* Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
•* Pediatric Experience highly preferred
