Phlebotomist I

Shift/Time Zone: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Payrange: $23 - $27.20

Draw blood specimens from patients using appropriate techniques (venipuncture, capillary).

Prepare specimens for lab testing, ensuring quality and proper labeling.

Verify patient demographic information and initial signatures to ensure accuracy of specimen labeling.

Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost care.

Promote a positive and professional image of the company to patients, clients, and coworkers.

Handle all specimen collection duties (forensic and clinical) in accordance with established procedures.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized working environment.

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and perform work in a timely manner.

Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and answer questions.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code, health and safety guidelines, and Excellence Guiding Principles.

Adapt to flexible work hours and locations, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Maintain required records and documentation as per company standards.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work in various locations and cover shifts with minimal notice.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to demonstrate superior customer focus and communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a focus on error-free work.
