Manager Notes:
  • Will support up to 40-50 Scientist & Researchers Person will have the ability to developing and maintaining collaboration.
  • Will handle shipping and receiving samples
  • Must have bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, since a lab-based role
  • Project Coordinator or related experience required min 1-3 years; more experience is acceptable;
  • However, Project Management experience would be considered overqualified
  • Instruments, coordinator lab management skills
  • Experience with Excel and MS Office Tools, MS Teams, Teams Planner plus. 

Description:
We are seeking a laboratory and logistics manager to join the Large Molecule Research (LMR) platform and play a critical role in the organization by coordinating laboratory operations and logistics for LMR Research. The successful candidate will support the research teams located in Cambridge.
The candidate’s responsibility will be to ensure a smooth progression of the research activities onsite, including
• Manage and coordinate equipment service and annual certifications and calibration, equipment alarm system, and oversees new capital equipment purchases.
• Maintains relationship with vendor to order and stock lab reagents/consumables for the research lab
• Utilize Lab Request Management Portal and Teams Planner to track and fulfill lab-related request from LMR colleagues
• Work with HSE and monitors lab members to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to company policies, coordinate maintenance activities of laboratory spaces; includes routine inspection of lab via daily walk-through
• Serves as primary contact for all facilities-related issues in and out of the laboratory, acting as liaison between lab groups and facilities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the Cambridge site with:
o logistics including shipping and receiving
o facilities repair and service requests
o laboratory and common office equipment IT services
• Develop and maintain a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Possess strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment will be vital

Qualifications:
• B.A. in life-science with a minimum of 3-5 years working in a large laboratory setting in the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in working with facilities, logistics and laboratory support systems
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Teams
o Preference given to candidate with knowledge of Microsoft Planner
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and document progress
