Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the first point of contact for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident during their visit. This role involves drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing, while following established protocols and procedures. The PSR I has direct interaction with patients and is responsible for creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient blood specimen collection. This role also requires a commitment to confidentiality and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities with accuracy and timeliness under the guidance of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.

Collect and process both forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established guidelines.

Keep accurate records and documentation as required.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors while promoting a positive image of the company to patients, clients, and colleagues.
Job Requirements:

Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Skilled in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexible availability to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) is preferred.

Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:

At least 6 months of experience is required; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Previous customer service experience, especially in a retail or service environment, is a plus.

Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
