Phlebotomist III - Floater
Job Title: Phlebotomist III Floater
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Variable start and end times between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (based on daily need)
Schedule Flexibility: Required, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
Position Summary:
The PSR III – Floater serves as the face of the organization to patients, ensuring high-quality specimen collection and outstanding service. This role includes drawing blood samples, preparing them for testing, and maintaining a professional, patient-focused environment. The floater position requires adaptability and the ability to work at various locations based on staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect blood specimens from patients (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures

Explain collection procedures clearly and compassionately to patients

Verify and label patient specimens accurately, confirming information in patient presence

Maintain records and documentation per company guidelines
-
Promote a safe and professional work environment

Demonstrate leadership, integrity, and process excellence

Provide superior customer service and maintain patient confidentiality

Travel to and cover multiple sites with minimal notice
Requirements:
Education:
-
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
-
Required: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Skills & Competencies:

Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups

Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Capable of handling multiple priorities

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional appearance

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)

Open to training at variable locations based on availability
Additional Details:

Language Skills: Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Travel: Required to support multiple locations with short notice.

Flexibility: Required to support staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.
