The Pharmacy Technician Clinical Support Services
This position is responsible for utilizing their clinical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to provide our patients with the smooth service and delivery of medication to their homes. You will make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patient s one on one care.
Coram Client/specialty infusion is a national leader in the home infusion field. As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experience to work in a closed-door practice setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communication with patients by telephone
Gather information for the initial admission of new patients and review all new charts to ensure that all necessary nursing paperwork is included
Manage the schedule for patient deliveries, manage inventory, create and maintain supply templates in the pharmacy computer data base
Document all supply management activities in the patient medical record
Participate on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs
Position Summary:
This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.

Experience:
Required Qualifications
1 year of Pharmacy Clerk exp
Position is not remote, must be available to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications
National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
2+ years of IV compounding experience
Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Monday to friday 830am to 530pm with 1 hour lunch
