Travel: Rad/CT Scan Tech Days
Job Title: Travel CT Tech - Radiology
Location: 1313 St. Anthony Place, Louisville, KY
Duration: Duration: (Not specified)
Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM), self-scheduling in 4-week increments, with call rotation (8:00 PM - 8:00 AM for STAT only)
Schedule: 3 days per week, 12 hours per day
Job Summary:
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Verifies patient identity and reviews the patient’s medical record for the appropriateness of the exam or procedure. Interviews patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assesses risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and/or psychological indicators. Explains procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up. Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script. Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols, and communicates data to the radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate. Provides physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients. Participates in process improvement activities within the radiology practice, including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction. Provides imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees. Able to take call/standby as required by the department. May perform the duties of a Radiologic Technologist, as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
Licensure & Certifications:
-
ARRT certification in Radiology and CT Tech (must be attached to the submission packet).

BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached to the submission packet).
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years of recent Radiology and CT experience in a hospital setting.

Experience with Client Client Project & Client portable x-ray machines.
Must have Radiology & CT Tech experience, familiar with Client Client Project & Client portable x-ray machine
Must have ARRT certification in Radiology & CT Tech; must be attached to the submission packet
Must have BLS certification, must be attached to the submission packet (must be through the American Heart Association)
Must have 2 years recent Radiology & CT experience in a hospital setting
Shifts3-12 hour shifts days from 8am-8pm . It is self-scheduling in 4 weeks increments, with call rotation, 8p-8a for STAT only
