Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: New York, NY 10041
Duration: 2+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $65 – $70/hr. on W2
Position Summary:
The Project Manager will support key workstreams under the Office of Ambulatory Care and Population Health, contributing to complex, direct-service initiatives including resource navigation, temporary shelter, and service delivery for vulnerable populations (single adults, families with children, etc.). Reporting to initiative leads, the Project Manager will oversee full project lifecycles, manage stakeholder engagement, and provide both policy and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, definition, execution, and delivery across assigned workstreams
- Track and report on project progress using established tools and templates
- Facilitate project updates, monitor deliverables, and escalate risks
- Serve as liaison between client departments, city agencies, and vendors
- Support development of training materials and lead training sessions
- Oversee on-site implementation and provide operational oversight
- Review vendor invoices and assist with budget recommendations
- Contribute to service improvement strategies and policy development
Qualifications:

Required Experience:
- 3+ years of program/project management in public health, education, or social services
- Experience with agencies like DOE or ACS, or with community service providers
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred:
- Experience managing contractors/vendors
- Bachelor’s degree
- Bilingual (Spanish or other non-English languages)
- NYC residency
