Phlebotomist I

Location: Gainesville, FL
Job Duration: 6+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM and every other Saturday

The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients to collect quality blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires a high level of skill, professionalism, and compassion, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. The PSR I is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while adhering to established procedures and confidentiality standards.

• Perform daily specimen collection and processing tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
• Create a welcoming and professional environment for patients.
• Collect forensic and clinical specimens with confidence and precision.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
• Follow all safety and confidentiality protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
• Keyboard/data entry experience (Required)

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed

• Candidates must list home city and commute time on their resume.
• Commute time to the job site must be within 20–25 minutes.
• Reliable transportation is required (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
• Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory.
• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
