Shift: Mon-Fri 6a-3p, mandatory Saturday rotation 6:30a-12:30p

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as a frontline healthcare professional responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, specimen collection, and customer service in clinical and patient service center environments. This role ensures accurate blood collection, specimen handling, and data integrity while maintaining compliance with established healthcare protocols, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, and forensic specimen collection with precision across pediatric, geriatric, and adult populations.
  • Prepare, label, process, and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory standards and chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Verify patient identification, demographic details, and obtain required signatures to ensure labeling accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and data entry within laboratory information systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient experience by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and building trust and confidence.
  • Operate independently while managing daily workflows, priorities, and high-volume patient interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Support multiple locations including patient service centers, physician offices, and mobile assignments as needed.
  • Promote a professional, safe, and customer-focused environment aligned with organizational values.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
  • Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred/State-specific requirement)
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Experience in Patient Service Center (PSC) or clinical setting preferred
  • Strong customer service background in healthcare or retail environments
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer systems
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations (if required)
