Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist Traveler (Patient Services Representative, PSR) is the first point of contact for patients seeking routine or critical care. This role involves collecting blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate patient experience. Assignments may include work in doctors’ offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.

Position Overview:

This role involves collecting blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate patient experience. Assignments may include work in doctors’ offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (forensic and clinical) according to established protocols.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient demographics; obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
- Complete daily duties accurately and on time under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
- Protect patient confidentiality and ensure data accuracy.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Strong phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Superior customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions using established procedures and sound judgment.
Schedule & Flexibility:
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to attend training at varying locations.
- Must stay for the full scheduled shift and arrive on time.
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
Transportation Requirements:
- Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
- Public transport, Uber, or rideshare do not qualify as reliable.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record if applicable.
Additional Requirements:
- Commitment to company policies including dress code, employee health & safety, and Everyday Excellence guiding principles.
- Compliance with Client onboarding requirements.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
