Shift:
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Rotational Saturdays: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Job Description
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, delivering highquality service and compassionate care to patients visiting for routine health screenings or more complex diagnostic needs. This role involves collecting accurate, highquality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established protocols and safety procedures.
The PSR I consistently demonstrates professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to create a comfortable, confident environment for patients. This role requires excellent phlebotomy technique, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality and patient information standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational tasks accurately, efficiently, and within deadlines under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following established practices and procedures.
- Prepare, label, and process specimens correctly for laboratory submission.
- Maintain required records, logs, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Uphold organizational standards and demonstrate leadership behaviors focused on process excellence.
Job Requirements
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to deliver highquality, errorfree work in a fastpaced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal onsite supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, oncall, and overtime as needed.
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training – Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification – Preferred (Mandatory in CA, NV, and WA)
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience – Required
- 1 or more years of experience in phlebotomy – Preferred
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment – Preferred
- Proven data entry experience required.
Additional Details
- Candidates must provide their home city and commute time on their résumé.
- Pay rate is based on years of direct, nonoverlapping experience only.
- Must have reliable transportation (car or personal vehicle). Rideshare or public transit is not considered reliable for this role.
- Punctuality and attendance are critical; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
- Candidates must reside within a 20–25 minute commute to the worksite to ensure reliable coverage.
