Job Title: Packaging Technician I
Location: Onsite Marlborough, MA
Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract (High potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
Pay Rate: $26.17/hour (W2)

Job Summary:
The Packaging Technician I will support packaging engineering activities related to product packaging and labeling. This role involves executing tests, documenting results, and assisting in the preparation of technical documentation. The technician will work closely with Packaging Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure packaging solutions meet quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute assigned tasks to support packaging project deliverables.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute packaging design tests under engineering supervision.
• Support development and revision of test methods.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate test results.
• Assist engineering teams in sourcing materials, coordinating services, and collecting test data.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in a technical, laboratory, or quality-related role.
• Associate degree (AA/AS) or technical certification preferred.
• 0 2 years of experience in packaging or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
• High attention to detail and strong technical aptitude.
• Familiarity with packaging components (e.g., film, Tyvek, cartons, labels, corrugated materials, pouches).
• Experience with visual inspections of packaging materials.
• Understanding of ASTM/ISTA packaging test standards preferred.
• Knowledge of medical device packaging, FDA regulations, quality systems, and sterilization is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
