Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Job Duration: 6+ Months
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM Rotational Weekends.
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing essential healthcare services to patients, whether for routine care or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully drawing blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing, following established protocols and procedures. This position involves direct patient interaction, requiring the PSR I to foster a trusting and confident atmosphere by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring that blood draws are performed safely and accurately. Additionally, the PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and the accuracy of patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately perform daily tasks under the guidance of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.

Confidently manage both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following established practices and protocols.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation.

Promote a positive image of the company by providing excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including expertise in working with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexible and available to work various shifts as needed, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience required.

One year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
