Registered Dietician
Job Title: Registered Dietician
Pay range - $45/hr. - $50/hr. on W2 & Options for travel and per diem packages based on eligibility.
Work Hours: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian will provide nutrition screening, assessment, and follow-up care for patients based on level of care. This role involves evaluating patient nutritional needs, providing counseling and education, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective dietary plans. The Dietitian will work closely with patients and their families to incorporate food preferences, manage food/drug interactions, and support improved patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional status and needs

Conduct interviews with patients and families regarding dietary history and preferences

Monitor food-drug interactions and provide relevant education

Interpret clinical and laboratory data for nutrition-related decision-making

Document diet instructions, educational sessions, and patient understanding

Collaborate with physicians on appropriate diet modifications

Adjust and personalize patient menus as needed
Skills & Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred) in clinical nutrition

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited institution

Certification (Acute Care): Registered Dietitian (RD) with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) – Required

Certification (Post-Acute Care): NYS Certification as “Dietitian-Nutritionist” by NYSED – Required at time of hire

Preferred: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field
