Pay Rate: $66.50 /hr. on W2

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Includes on-call rotation)
Hours: 40 hours/week (4 days, 10 hours/day)
 
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will provide professional, patient-centered imaging services while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires excellent communication, technical skill, and adherence to protocols to ensure effective CT imaging and patient care.
 
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies per established protocols.
  • Maintain sterility of fields and instruments during procedures.
  • Accurately prepare and process requisitions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety while preserving patient dignity and privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify patient identification according to facility policies.
  • Monitor patient condition before and after contrast administration; report changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.
  • Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and complications during procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies such as linens, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage materials in scanning rooms.
  • Adhere to specific room assignments and assist with inventory and supply management in the CT storeroom.
  • Participate in daily inventory, stock management, and cleanliness of CT equipment and rooms.
  • Manage workflow and triage procedures during Point staff assignments, ensuring efficient coordination of emergent and unscheduled requests.
  • Assign staff to maintain patient safety and workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate patient status to relevant departments and ensure timely patient transport post-procedure.
  • Assist with routine procedures and screen patients for contrast allergies and medication incompatibilities.
  • Maintain QA/QC requirements as per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions and unusual conditions promptly.
  • Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols rigorously.
  • For urgent cases (Code Grey, Trauma), promptly acquire, process, send, and verify images in PACS/RIS systems, notifying Radiologists immediately.
  • Alert Radiologists of any unusual findings to optimize patient care.
 
Education & Licensure Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from an accredited School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)).
  • ARRT Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (RT(CT)).
  • Valid New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP).
  • Current BLS Certification.
