Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Location: New York, NY 10016
Duration: 06/08/2026 – 09/12/2026
Shift: Day Shift – 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 7 hrs/day, 35 hrs/week, No on-call required
Pay Range: $50-$55/hr.
Schedule Notes:

• Inpatient medicine, surgery (med/surg), and rehab experience required
• Hospital experience preferred by manager
• Minimum 1 year of experience required

Work Setting: Social Work / Acute Care Hospital / Inpatient

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of LMSW experience
• Psychosocial assessment experience
• Supportive therapy experience
• Discharge planning experience
• Referral management experience
• Inpatient medicine experience required
• Surgery/Med-Surg experience required
• Rehab experience required
• Hospital experience preferred

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work required

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license issued by NYSED
• Primary Source Verification required

Job Summary:

• Conducts psychosocial assessments and supportive therapy for inpatient populations
• Performs discharge planning and referral coordination within an acute care hospital setting

Duties:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments
• Provide supportive therapy services
• Perform discharge planning activities
• Coordinate referrals and community resources
• Support inpatient medicine, med/surg, and rehab patient populations
• Maintain documentation and patient-related social work records
