Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 3 Months+ contract (Possible Extension)
Shift: Five days a week; potentially may have to work weekends o Midnight shift: 7:30 pm – 4 am o Afternoon shift: 1 pm – 9:30 pm
Note:
• Not testing
• Experience with SunQuest and Epic
• This position is more clerical – focused on customer service o Critical value calling
• Does not have to be certified but eligible

Job Summary:
- Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
- May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Required Education:
- Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.

Days Per Week: 5.00
