Key Responsibilities
Recombinant baculovirus generation, WVB.
Protein Expression in baculovirus insect cells system in shake flasks.
Cell maintenance, transfection, infection, and harvest of viral stocks from suspension culture.
Sampling culture flasks and preparation of samples for analytical testing.
Performing standard molecular biology tasks such as DNA purification, PCR, Western blot, and SDS-PAGE techniques.
Preform aseptic techniques.
Wash glassware and USP process equipment
Design, analyze and document experiments, maintain proper records electronically and in lab notebooks.
Effectively communicate results in group and department meetings
Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking and ordering.
Ensure that work performed is conducted in a safe and compliant manner in adherence with SOPs/SWIs and protocols.
Coordinate data capture and tracking information.
Write and review protocols and reports.
Qualification
BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or other relevant disciplines
0 -2 years of experience with BS degree working in academic or industry.
Experience in baculovirus protein expression system and insect cell cultures is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques and DNA sequence analysis, construct design using SnapGene, or similar software is a plus.
Ability to plan and conduct laboratory experiments, evaluate, and interpret data.
Ability to work within team environment and multitasking.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize assignments.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Experience in cell culture procedures and associated aseptic techniques.
Willing to work changing work schedules and hours as needed.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Strong experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is important.
