Shift: Tuesday-Saturday / 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
Job Summary:
As a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), you will be the face of our organization, directly interacting with patients and ensuring their comfort and confidence during health procedures. Your key responsibility will be drawing blood specimens for lab testing, handling both clinical and forensic specimens with skill and precision. You will play a vital role in maintaining patient trust and following safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Blood Collection & Processing: Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring the accurate and safe collection of blood specimens. Process specimens for lab testing, adhering to standard procedures.
- Patient Interaction: Build rapport with patients by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring a comfortable environment during blood draws.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Professionalism: Uphold a safe, clean, and professional work environment while maintaining confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant or Paramedic training is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in phlebotomy or patient services.
- Experience in a customer service role, especially in retail or service, is a plus.
- Prior keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
Certification:
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred but required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Phlebotomy Skills: Proficient in pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
- Customer Service: Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability: Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance. Candidates must be reliable for scheduled shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Bilingual Skills: Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.
