Location: Salinas, CA 93901
Duration: 3+ Months (Possible Extension)

Shift: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $20 - $22/hr. (W2)
 
Job Summary:
Seeking a Hospital Billing Follow-Up Specialist to manage aging claims, resolve payer issues, and ensure accurate account documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in medical billing and claims follow-up.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform claims follow-up with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers through calls, portals, and written communication.

• Correct and resubmit denied claims, resolve discrepancies, obtain missing documentation, and ensure claims meet payer requirements.
• Maintain detailed account notes, collaborate with internal departments, and escalate complex issues while meeting productivity and compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.

• Analytical thinking and ability to interpret remittances.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and billing platforms.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Medical Billing, Medical Claims, and Coding.
