Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for representing the face of the company to patients, offering care and support for both routine health procedures and life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing blood samples from patients and preparing the specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR II ensures that patients feel comfortable and confident by skillfully and safely explaining procedures and performing venipuncture.
In addition to technical skills, the PSR II will exhibit leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in patient information. Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.

Maintain a professional environment and demonstrate a positive image to patients, clients, and colleagues.

Ensure that all venipuncture procedures are performed safely, accurately, and skillfully.

Verify patient demographic information and initials post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.

Follow company policies, dress code, and safety guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.

Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Provide superior customer service and clear communication with patients and peers.
Job Requirements:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexible and available to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Strong decision-making skills, using established procedures and good judgment.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Superior customer service and communication skills.

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite (Uber, rideshare, or bus service are not reliable transportation).

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to travel and work at multiple locations as needed.
