Phlebotomist Floater
Job Title: Phlebotomist III – Float
Location: Woodbury, NJ
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30-4:30pm ( 8hr shift) Floater and a Saturday rotation
Pay Range: $19.85/hr - $21.80/hr on W2
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III – Float serves as the face of our organization, delivering exceptional service and high-quality specimen collection for patients across various healthcare settings. This advanced phlebotomy role requires extensive experience, flexibility, and leadership capabilities to ensure patient safety, accuracy of collections, and operational efficiency across multiple sites, including Patient Service Centers (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), Long-Term Care (LTC), and mobile settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform skilled venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Provide phlebotomy services across multiple locations, filling in where needed for coverage and support.

Ensure specimens are accurately collected, processed, and prepared for laboratory testing following standard operating procedures.

Act as an onsite lead, coach, and mentor for new and existing staff; provide effective onboarding and training for new employees and clients.

Serve as a liaison and point of contact at assigned locations, collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Billing, IT, Logistics, Lab Testing Services) to support complex testing needs and customer requirements.

Deliver exceptional customer service, building trust and confidence with patients through clear communication and a compassionate approach.

Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient data and ensure all regulatory and compliance guidelines are followed.

Manage multiple priorities in high-volume environments, demonstrating effective problem-solving and time management skills.
Required Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training preferred (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic training).

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Required Experience:
-
Five (5) years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in a PSC/IOP setting preferred.

Experience in customer service, especially in a retail or service environment, preferred.

Keyboard and data entry proficiency required.
Additional Job Details:

Must be able to travel and adapt to various site environments, including doctor's offices, long-term care facilities, and mobile settings.
