Cardiac Sonographer 1
Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer I (Non-Invasive Cardiology)
Location: Temple, TX
Assignment Type: 13 weeks (Travel, Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday

Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Shifts: AM
Interview: 1 Round (Phone)
Scrubs: Any solid color (must purchase)
Requirements

Certifications: BLS, RCS or ARDMS

Experience: Minimum 2 years; must have Level 1 Trauma experience
Job Summary
The Cardiac Sonographer I performs cardiac ultrasound procedures for adult patients, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. This role supports physicians by producing high-quality diagnostic images, preparing patients, reviewing findings, and assisting in advanced cardiac procedures when needed.
Key Responsibilities

Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, ensuring accurate, high-quality imaging.

Identify and document cardiac abnormalities, adapting exams to answer clinical questions.

Assist physicians with echocardiograms in procedure/operating rooms to reduce risk during complex cases.

Support cardiologists during transesophageal studies, including probe sterilization and measurements.

Prepare patients, collect clinical history, and adjust techniques for comprehensive results.

Maintain echocardiography lab operations, equipment upkeep, and quality assurance processes.

Provide guidance to staff, physicians, and students on imaging protocols and equipment.

Collaborate with quality coordinator for IAC accreditation and new technology implementation.
Key Skills

Proficiency in advanced sonographic principles, instrumentation, and cardiac anatomy.

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular ultrasound protocols and infection control standards.

Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare providers.

Skilled in medical terminology, computer systems, and diagnostic equipment.
