Job Title: Antigen Production Technician
Job Location: Swiftwater, PA 18370
Duration: 12 months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Job Summary:
Perform production activities in response to volume fluctuations, business needs, and established procedures within the Biological Service Area. Responsible for manufacturing activities in the assigned area while ensuring compliance with cGMP standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete sampling and related documentation accurately as required.
  • Execute process orders and bin-to-bin movements promptly to maintain accurate inventory in SAP.
  • Participate in inventory management activities, including SAP transactions, cycle counting, and ordering.
  • Perform tasks and maintain documentation in compliance with cGMP regulations.
  • Collaborate with Senior and Lead Technicians and Managers to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Attend team meetings, actively communicating ideas for improvement, concerns, and production issues to leadership.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and water sampling as required.
  • Assist in writing and editing cGMP procedures and documents under supervision.
  • Support deviation investigations and help implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Prepare and maintain lab and equipment for production runs, ensuring proper operation.
  • Complete quality documentation such as Batch Production Records (BPRs) and logbooks accurately and timely.
 
Requirements:
  • Strong self-motivation with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development through training.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing work environment supporting various facility demands.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with strong comprehension and manual dexterity.
  • Thorough knowledge of cGMP regulations and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to stand and work efficiently for 10+ hours per day.
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds safely.
  • Detail-oriented with clear and concise writing abilities.
  • Adherence to cGMP SOPs and SWIs for compliance.
  • Willingness to work multiple shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
 
Work Schedule and Environment:
  • Shifts vary; employees must remain until jobs are complete.
  • Must be available for weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Days off may be non-consecutive and rotate weekly.
  • Working hours may change based on production demands.
  • May require set days off mid-week or rotating schedules.
  • All antigen roles involve active virus production; vaccinations (Flu, Menactra, Yellow Fever) are mandatory based on assignment.
  • No jewelry, makeup, or scented products (perfume, hairspray, cologne, aftershave) allowed on the floor.
  • Artificial nails and nail polish are prohibited.
  • Required attire includes sterile scrubs, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and Tyvek suits in some areas.
 
Experience:
  • 3 to 6 years in cGMP manufacturing or a related production environment.
