Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Duration: 2+ months contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Schedule Notes: 3:00pm - 11:30pm | 10:30am - 11:00pm.
Every 3rd Weekend, Holidays as needed, On Call.
Pay range: $60/hour to $65/hour
Note: Non-Taxable Stipend is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Duties:
- Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, providing immobilization devices, and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
- Restricts radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to prevent exposure to unaffected body parts.
- Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
- Identifies patient films correctly with name, x-ray number, and side markers.
- Develops exposed x-ray films using available processing methods.
- Completes patient requisitions with required documentation.
- Maintains an orderly x-ray room as directed.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Completion of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements
Requirements:
- NJ State RT License
- ARRT(R)
- BLS - AHA
