Role Overview
The Oncology team within the Computational Biology and Translation Pillar at Client's Global Computational Sciences (gCS) is seeking a highly motivated Computational Scientist (Contract). This role focuses on applying advanced computational and statistical methods to analyze preclinical and clinical datasets, with a strong emphasis on Breast Cancer. The scientist will contribute to drug discovery and translational research by interpreting multi-omics data to generate meaningful insights into disease mechanisms and treatment responses.

The Oncology team within the Computational Biology and Translation Pillar at Client's Global Computational Sciences (gCS) is seeking a highly motivated Computational Scientist (Contract). This role focuses on applying advanced computational and statistical methods to analyze preclinical and clinical datasets, with a strong emphasis on Breast Cancer. The scientist will contribute to drug discovery and translational research by interpreting multi-omics data to generate meaningful insights into disease mechanisms and treatment responses.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of bulk RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, WES, and single-cell datasets.
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning approaches to analyze and integrate complex biological data.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable biological insights related to disease biology and drug mechanisms.
- Present results to internal stakeholders and respond to scientific queries.
- Document code, workflows, and findings to support reproducibility and standardization.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing oncology research initiatives.
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, or a related field (postdoctoral experience is a plus).
- Proven publication record in computational or cancer biology.
- Minimum 6 years of experience analyzing large-scale omics datasets (e.g., RNA-seq, WES).
- Expertise in:
- Multivariate statistical analysis
- Drug response and perturbational data analysis
- Multimodal data integration
- Predictive and prognostic modeling
- Deep understanding of cancer biology, especially Breast Cancer.
- Strong programming skills in R, Python, and shell scripting.
- Experience using Git and working with high-performance computing (HPC) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong curiosity and drive to learn in the fields of oncology and computational biology.
