Job Title: Surgical Tech
Location: Morristown, NJ 07960
Duration: 3 +Months (Possibility of extension)

Shift Time: Day Shift | 07:00 AM – 05:00 PM | 10hr/4 Shift week | Every other weekend & holidays required
Local Pay Range: $47.50/hr on W2
 
Note: PER DIEM RATES PROVIDED TO THE CANDIDATE LIVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY.
 
Job Description:
The Certified Surgical Technician assists in the care of surgical patients in the Operating Room. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures. The Surgical Technician demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, and ensures quality patient care while maintaining a sterile and safe operative environment.
 
Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and organize sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical cases.
• Maintain vigilance in protecting and preserving the sterile field at all times.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently and accurately.
• Follow instructions from Physicians and Registered Nurses in accordance with established Operating Room policies.
• Adhere strictly to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory agency standards.
• Practice Standard Precautions consistently to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the Operating Room.

 
Required Certifications & Licence:

• Recent Surgical Tech experience required.
• NBSTSA or AST
