Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine health needs or critical lab insights. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while ensuring safety, accuracy, and professionalism in every patient interaction. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, customer service, and a commitment to operational excellence and confidentiality. The PSR II may work in a variety of settings including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and efficiently under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Collect both forensic and clinical specimens using established procedures.
Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of all specimens in the presence of the patient.
Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy.
Provide clear, compassionate explanations of procedures to patients.
Promote a positive, professional image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold organizational values and policies.
Job Requirements:
Provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and with short notice.
Ability to make sound decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).
Willingness and ability to travel and work in multiple locations.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a high-volume setting.
Demonstrate superior customer focus and open communication with staff, patients, and supervisors.
Embrace change and demonstrate knowledge of company practices and business.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Medical training as a Medical Assistant or Paramedic (Preferred)
Phlebotomy Certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (Required)

Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
