Certified Medical Assistant Physician Services CWR
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant – Physician Services
Location: Tinton Falls, NJ 07753
Duration: May 12, 2025 – August 9, 2025 (3 months)
Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 Days/Week, 40 Hours/Week
Notes: Very busy breast surgeon office with 3 breast surgeons and 5 mid-level providers. No weekends, no holidays, no on-call, no float. Virtual interview.
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of the professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and provides clerical office assistance.
Essential Job Functions:

Prepares exam room, treatment room, supplies and instruments.

Prepares patients for physician visit and examination, assisting as directed.
-
Takes patient’s vital signs and records in medical chart.
-
Understands proper function and care of special equipment.

Performs EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test as indicated after performance evaluation checklist completion.

Also performs UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab testing as indicated after performance evaluation checklist completion.

Maintains records by completing patient records as directed; files records and reports.

Assists with collections/billing procedures as needed.

Uses computer software to maintain office systems.

Identifies and responds to issues of confidentiality.
-
Delivers care that is specific to the needs of the patient population served (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing/visually impaired).

Communicates at the appropriate developmental/educational level of the patient, parent, or caregiver.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adheres to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Physical requirements: Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs., and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent such as a GED (Required)

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)

American Heart Association BLS (Required)
