Job Location: Rancho Mirage, CA
Job Duration: 3-4 Months (possibility of extension)

Payrate: $71.87/ hr. on w2

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy -ray absorptiometry (DEA) exams; educates patients regarding patient exams and accurately documents procedures completed and procedure codes.
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment, and answers questions.
- Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room.
- Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam.
- Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started.
- Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
- Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
- Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS.
- Performs bone density screening as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms.
- Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements.
- Follows department timekeeping procedures.
- Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
- Required: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS.
- Preferred: Mammography screening experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information.
- Proficient in the use of mammography and DEA equipment.
