Phlebotomist II
Duartion: 3-4 months
Location: Hoffman Estates IL
Shift: : Mon - Fri 8am -4:30pm E/O Sat 7am -12pm
PayRange - $25/hr on W2
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company to patients during routine health visits or critical health decisions. The PSR II collects high-quality blood specimens and prepares them for laboratory testing while adhering to established protocols. Through direct patient interaction, the PSR II fosters an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. This role demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strict confidentiality with patient information.
Assignments may include work in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and timely under area supervisor guidance.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain required records and documentation meticulously.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections.

Flexible availability based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime).

Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment within established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations, covering Patient Service Centers and in-office phlebotomy sites with minimal notice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Demonstrate superior customer focus, clear and transparent communication, adaptability to change, and strong knowledge of the business.
Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent – Required
Experience:
-
Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
