Phlebotomist I

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our company, interacting directly with patients as part of their health journey. The PSR I is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and professionally. The PSR I fosters an environment of trust and confidence, explains procedures clearly to patients, and performs blood draws in a skillful and safe manner.

This role emphasizes leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient confidentiality and data accuracy.

• Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction.

• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing confidently, following all standard procedures.

• Maintain accurate and complete records/documentation.

• Build patient trust through professional, respectful communication and competent care.

• Represent the organization positively to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.

• Deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

• Be flexible and available for varying schedules, including:

  • Weekends, Holidays,On-call shift, Overtime, as needed

• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficient keyboard and data entry skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required

• Phlebotomy certification – Preferred; Required in California

• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience – Required
