Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Highlands Ranch CO
Duration: 4+ months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: 8am - 5pm M-F
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits and life-defining health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR II builds trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
Assignments may include a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling

Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence and accurately reflect patient identification

Maintain required records and documentation

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment

Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Job Requirements

Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed

Travel & Transportation Requirements

Reliable transportation required
-
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, if applicable

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice

Required to cover Patient Service Center and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)
-
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Work Experience
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred
-
Keyboarding and data entry experience required
