Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Company: Client (Part of a Leading Diagnostics Organization)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (South) Fully Remote 50% travel - reside in CA, train and work in CA area. If a need requires at another site may need to travel to that state to assist for a few days.
Pay Rate: 41.54

Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining diagnostic equipment that directly impacts patient health. In this role, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and service diagnostic instruments while engaging with internal and external stakeholders.




Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Troubleshoot, install, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diagnostic equipment.

    • Provide excellent and efficient technical service to customers.

  • Service Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate service logs and internal records.

    • Manage part orders and adhere to cycle times.

  • Systems Utilization:

    • Use tools like OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and team goals.

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet service requirements.

    • Assist in training newer Field Service Engineers.




Essential Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent military experience.

  • 1+ year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.

  • Valid driver s license with a good driving record (last 3 years).

  • Ability to travel within the assigned geography and periodically for overnight assignments.

  • Physical requirements:

    • Lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

    • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, pushing/pulling, and prolonged sitting/standing.

    • Good hand, finger dexterity, and ability to reach at all levels.




Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, and maintenance experience.

  • Technical college background in biomed, engineering, or related fields.

  • Proven experience developing positive business relationships that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
