Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Florida (FL CPT License Preferred, Not Required)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Rotational Saturdays at an Alternate Site
Hours/Week: 40
Duration: 6 months possibility of extension
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the front-line representative of the company, providing essential services to patients seeking routine or critical health testing. This role includes collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and creating a positive patient experience through safe, professional, and compassionate service. The PSR I will exhibit leadership behaviors, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and care.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately perform daily tasks and specimen collection under supervision.

Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collections following company procedures.

Maintain detailed records and documentation for all patient interactions and samples.

Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and confidence during procedures.

Promote a positive company image through professionalism and organizational commitment.
Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexibility for coverage needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Must be punctual and consistently available during scheduled shifts.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED
-
Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant, Paramedic) – Preferred
-
Phlebotomy certification – Preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience:
-
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
-
1+ years phlebotomy experience – Preferred
-
Customer service experience in retail/service settings – Preferred
-
Proficiency in data entry and use of basic software – Required
Additional Job Details:
-
Candidates must list home city and commute time to jobsite on their resume.

Commute time must be within 20–25 minutes of the physical location.

Rate is based strictly on years of direct experience listed on the resume.

Overlapping roles do not count twice.

Reliable transportation is required (e.g., personal vehicle).

Rideshare or public transit is not accepted as reliable transportation.

Tardiness and absenteeism are grounds for termination. Candidates must be dependable, punctual, and able to stay for the full shift.
