Ultrasound Technologist
Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation. - Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. - Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures. - Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures. - Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. - Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. - Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). - Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. - Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Skills: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or client accepted.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI)
General and vascular experience required
Vascular certification required
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire required.
Schedule Notes: 1 position needed 13- weeks but willing to accept 8- or 10- weeks ** About the position** Strictly general ultrasound, no vascular required Candidate must have ARDMS & BLS Self starter, good communication The general hospital census ranges from 165 to 200 patients. This does not necessarily indicate that each patient will require an ultrasound; however, it is possible to see approximately 30 to 40 patients per day. Patients from inpatient, outpatient, and ER varies the amount of patients will see. Schedule Variable Shifts, days and afternoons including some weekends Possibility of having schedule 6- weeks at a time. This position is not guaranteed 40- hours a week. Worker will be scheduled based on needs. (Manager will talk with candidate in further detail during interview.) o Monday Friday 7am-3pm 8am-4pm 9am-5pm 230pm-1030pm o Weekend Shifts 3pm 11pm 7am-3pm
