Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Temple, TX 76508 (Onsite at a Level I Trauma Facility)
Duration: 3 Months+ (with possibility of extension) (Temp-to-Perm Potential)

Travel Required: Yes

Work Schedule: 4x10s | Friday–Monday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Shift: AM
Interview Type: Virtual – 1 Round
Scrub Color: Any (no denim)
 
Certifications / Licensure Required:
  • ARRT (CT)
  • TMB (Texas Medical Board – MRT License)
  • BLS – American Heart Association only
 
Top Skills & Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3 years of CT Tech experience
  • Proficient with Client CT Scanners
  • Experienced with Epic EMR
  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred (Level I Trauma setting)
 
Position Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality CT procedures for diagnosis and treatment under the general supervision of a radiologist. This position is located in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma facility, requiring strong clinical judgment, rapid imaging proficiency, and patient-centered care skills. You will be responsible for pre- and post-procedure communication, radiation safety, and accurate documentation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT exams per protocol and physician orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilize AIDET communication framework to ensure patient comfort and understanding
  • Explain procedures clearly and ensure correct positioning of patients
  • Operate CT equipment and iSTAT testing for creatinine as needed
  • Ensure radiation safety practices and monitor dose reference levels
  • Maintain imaging documentation and EMR accuracy
  • Follow infection control, sterile technique, and safety standards
  • Report equipment issues and help maintain supply inventory

  • Effective communication and empathy with patients of all age groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CT protocols, imaging safety, and emergency procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative ED team
  • Willingness to serve as a preceptor or mentor when needed
  • Flexibility to take on-call shifts, if required
