Job Title: CT Scan Technologist
Location: Neptune, NJ, 07754
Duration: 4 Months+
Shift: Overnight
Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM, 3x12s, 36 hours per week.
Pay range: $60 - $63/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
- Performs complex CT procedures, including sectional and 3D imaging, and supports interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Reviews and documents patient history, scans contrast questionnaires into EPIC, and administers contrast media per physician orders.
- Communicates with physicians regarding prescription accuracy and coordinates insurance authorizations and outside imaging records.
- Delivers exam copies and ensures radiographers meet diagnostic standards using PACS system.
- Prepares and positions patients for scans, administers contrast, and explains procedures clearly.
- Monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures and documents patient concerns appropriately.
- Performs venipuncture, maintains IV access, and adheres to radiology department policy.
- Participates in weekends, holiday, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Fulfills lifting and standing requirements, modifies care based on patient population needs, and adheres to organizational behavior standards.
Education:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program
- High School diploma or equivalent
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
- ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire
- Knowledge of human anatomy, radiological positioning, and CT software/hardware
- Proficiency with PACS systems
- Maintains continuing education credits (CEUs)
- Six months of CT experience
- Familiarity with Epic and other hospital HIS/RIS systems
- Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT Certified R.T. (CT) license
