Registered Dietician
Job Title: Registered Dietician
Pay range - $45/hr. - $50/hr. on W2 & Options for travel and per diem packages based on eligibility.
Work Hours: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing the nutritional status of patients, developing appropriate care plans, and providing follow-up education and support. This role involves direct patient interaction, evaluation of medical records and lab data, and collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal dietary interventions for patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Screen and assess patients accurately and timely based on level of care

Determine patients' nutritional needs and status and provide appropriate follow-up care

Interview patients and/or families to obtain food habits and preferences

Monitor food/drug interactions and provide patient education; document interactions accordingly

Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data as it applies to nutritional care

Educate patients about nutrition; document dietary instructions and patient understanding

Consult with physicians on appropriate diet modifications

Modify patient menus as necessary based on individual needs
Skills & Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year required
-
2 years preferred

Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition

Certifications:
-
AHA BLS: Preferred
-
RD Certification (CDR): Required for Acute locations
-
NYSED Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification: Required at time of hire for Post-Acute (Long-Term Care) facilities per Medicare/Medicaid regulations

State Licensure (if applicable): Preferred

Master’s Degree: Preferred

Ability to document accurately in medical records

Familiarity with food service systems and clinical nutrition software

Moderate physical activity such as walking, standing, and occasional lifting may be involved
