Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Float
Job Location: Ellicott City, MD
Duration: 2 - 3+ months of Contract with possible extension
Shift time: :M-F 7a-3:30pm rotational Saturdays 7am-1pm
PayRate: $21.79/hr on W2

Note: An active Phlebotomy Certification is required. 
 

Role Overview:

• Acts as the face of the company to patients during blood draws and specimen collection.

• Draws blood samples skillfully, safely, and accurately.

• Provides coverage across multiple locations and roles (Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, In-Office Phlebotomy).

• Leads and supports other staff (e.g., PSRs), acting as mentor, coach, and resource.

• Handles high-complexity/volume customers requiring advanced phlebotomy skills.

• Collaborates with Sales, Lab, IT, Billing, and Logistics.

• Maintains confidentiality and accuracy in patient info.

• Manages multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic preferred).

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections).

• Preferably 3 years in a Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy environment.

• Customer service experience in retail/service preferred.

• Keyboard/data entry skills.
