Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (Phlebotomist)
Location: Ocala, FL
Duration: 4 months + ,temp to hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM with rotational Saturdays
Hours per Week: 35
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I (PSR I) plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care by collecting blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. As the face of the company, the PSR I interacts directly with patients, ensuring a professional, compassionate, and efficient experience. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under supervisor direction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens in accordance with procedures
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while explaining procedures clearly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance standards
- Represent the organization positively to patients, clients, and the public
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation (public transit and rideshare not accepted)
- Punctuality and full-shift availability are strictly required
- Candidates must live within a 20–25 minute commute to the job site
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience – Required
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or service setting – Preferred
- Data entry/keyboard skills – Required
Additional Details:
- Pay rate based on verifiable, direct experience
