Job Summary:
Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies. This role ensures adherence to safety protocols, patient care standards, and proper radiation protection practices. The technologist collaborates with medical staff and patients, reviews and archives images, and supports related imaging operations.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies. This role ensures adherence to safety protocols, patient care standards, and proper radiation protection practices. The technologist collaborates with medical staff and patients, reviews and archives images, and supports related imaging operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment according to prescribed protocols
- Perform studies in alignment with radiologist direction and clinical guidelines
- Ensure proper radiation safety and patient protection measures
- Review, archive, and label imaging studies with correct patient data
- Collaborate effectively with imaging staff, nurses, physicians, patients, and visitors
- Support department needs and perform additional duties as assigned
Required Education & Certifications:
- Completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registered RT(R) in Diagnostic Radiology
- State of Wisconsin Radiographer license
- CT advanced certification (required within 18 months of hire/transfer)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association or equivalent (required within 3 months of hire)
Preferred Education:
- 1–2 years of college or a degree in a healthcare-related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of full-time clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology
Preferred Experience:
- Previous hands-on experience operating CT equipment
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of diagnostic radiologic procedures
- Proficient in radiation safety and CT operation protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently and as part of a clinical team
