Patient Financial Services Representative – Cashier
Job Title: Patient Financial Services Representative – Cashier
Location: West Bend, Wisconsin, 53095
Duration: 08/18/2025 – 02/19/2026
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule: 5 Days/Week, 40 Hours/Week – No Weekends, No On-Call, No Floating
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in billing or collections for medical care/service and reconciling cash, checks, and credit card payments
• Experience using a cash register, printing calculator, and computerized billing/collections systems
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs
• Experience using Epic in a healthcare environment
• Strong customer service skills
Job Summary:
• Responsible for assisting patients with collection of payments and/or general account inquiries
• Handles daily depositing and reconciliation of payments made to the cashier’s office and other departments
• Files hospital liens for self-pay patients when applicable
• Manages petty cash disbursement
• Accepts and accurately posts payments to patient accounts or payment systems (credit cards, eChecks)
• Answers patient questions and complaints in a courteous, professional manner
• Maintains compliance with Epic work queues
• Accurately completes daily reconciliations, liens (check requests, court documents, certified mail), and petty cash documentation
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent – Required
