As an RPh Advisor you will be directly supporting Medicare Part D members and providers with requests related to their pharmacy benefits. You will be responsible for ensuring cases are accurately set up for our members, review clinical information for decisioning the request, performing outreach to providers for more information when needed, and ensuring accurate decisions that comply with compendia and Medicare guidance and timelines. 1. Attendance is extremely important, especially during the initial 8 weeks of training. The new hire must be available M-F from 9am-5:30pm EST for the first 8 weeks (no vacation time planned).

3. This is a work from home (WFH) position; must have a dedicated quiet, separate space in which to work with wired internet meeting 25mbps min download and 5mbps minimum upload speed.

Position Summary:
This position a remote computer-based Coverage Determination / Prior authorization position. As an RPh Advisor you will be directly supporting Medicare Part D members and providers with requests related to their pharmacy benefits. Duties:
This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills. Will be responsible for: reviewing patient profile, drug interactions, sensitivities and drug usage database in relation to patient's prescription. Determines if prescription requires physician clarification or if it should be forwarded to therapeutic intervention or doctor phone calls for follow-up. Enters prescription in to the computer. Assists in patient services as required, taking incoming prescription medication questions/concerns from patients. Assists in the doctor phone call area and/or therapeutic intervention as assigned and contacts physicians to resolve any questions or concerns. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Works with other members of the pharmacy to ensure accuracy of prescriptions. Dispenses prescription medication and performs final dispensing quality check on all prescriptions for accuracy and dosage.
Experience:
Minimum of one year's previous pharmacy experience - retail, hospital, or PA experience preferred. Appropriate state license required. Basic computer skills required. Strong organizational skill, interpersonal skills and detail orientation important for this position.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. also required with at least one year experience as a pharmacist. Must have an active license in good standing.
