Medical Assistant II
Medical Assistant II (Back Office) | Day Shift
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support back-office clinical operations, patient care coordination, and administrative tasks while ensuring excellent patient experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide professional, timely, and patient-centered customer service to patients and families
• Handle appointment updates, wait time communication, and patient flow coordination
• Assist with back-office tasks including:
- DME paperwork
- Medication refills
- Prior authorizations
• Support providers during EMG procedures (as needed)
• Identify and escalate patient concerns or delays proactively
• Coordinate translation services when required
• Participate in clinic workflow planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with clinical staff
REQUIREMENTS
• Medical Assistant Certification – Required
• Knowledge of patient care tasks, medical terminology & clinic workflows
• Experience with managed care / scheduling systems
• Strong computer & office equipment skills
• Excellent communication, time management & customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) – Preferred
