The Client's IT Integration Lead provides comprehensive oversight and accountability for the successful and efficient implementation and integration of information technology systems across newly acquired assets and partnerships. This role ensures that all technological infrastructure aligns with Client's standards and supports clinical and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful transitions, optimize workflows, and identify IT enhancement opportunities stemming from new acquisitions and partnerships.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
The IT Integration Lead will play a central role within the IT organization, ensuring IT integration activities are identified, planned, and executed effectively. This position will also be a key partner to leaders throughout the enterprise to ensure IT integration activities align with the expectations and needs of the rest of the business. Key responsibilities include:
Lead the planning and execution of IT integration strategies for newly acquired assets and partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Work with the Chief Digital Information Officer to align integration efforts with broader digital transformation initiatives across the health system. Collaborate on prioritizing resources and support for integration projects, ensuring both IT and clinical needs are addressed.
Establish a collaborative relationship with local IT leaders to understand the existing IT landscape, strategic goals, and unique challenges associated with target hospital acquisitions / partners. Conduct joint assessments of current systems to identify integration needs and areas for improvement.
Facilitate communication between integration teams and enterprise IT teams to ensure alignment on system capabilities and infrastructure.
Collaborate with leaders across the organization to troubleshoot any issues that arise during integration, leveraging enterprise IT expertise to identify effective solutions.
Collaborate closely with enterprise integration teams to align operational processes and clinical needs with IT integration efforts (e.g., business requirements, change management, end user testing and validation).
Act as the primary IT point of contact for integration teams and establish feedback mechanisms to gather insights from rather stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for IT vendors during the integration process, including Product definition, contract negotiation, and ongoing communication
Monitor vendor performance throughout the integration, providing feedback and addressing any issues promptly to maintain proper momentum
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for integration initiatives, ensuring timely completion of milestones
Implement and optimize data management practices to ensure interoperability and compliance with regulatory standards
Provide training and support to staff at acquired hospitals, facilitating a smooth transition to integrated systems
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integration efforts, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance and user satisfaction
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend best practices and innovations in IT integration
EDUCATION:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
12+ years of experience in IT leadership roles within care delivery settings of various sizes, with a focus on system integration Proven experience managing complex projects related to hospital acquisitions or mergers, including EHR and ancillary system integrations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA):
In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems, data management, and integration methodologies.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards affecting healthcare IT, including HIPAA.
Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Including senior executives
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address integration challenges effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
